Connection. Regulation. Healing
Join the village at Village Mental Health Center
“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
The proverb “It takes a village to raise a child,” is generally thought to have roots in West African cultural tradition where the collective community shares responsibility for the care of children and other vulnerable members of society.
Humans are social beings and have, throughout history, come together for fellowship and support in times of trauma, loss and need. Our practice honors this by providing specialized therapy and counseling that focuses on the power of the therapeutic relationship.
At Village Mental Health Center, we value community and human connection as a source of strength and healing for our Colorado Springs neighbors. We recognize that all members of the community are interconnected and that the success and well-being of the community as a whole is dependent on the success and well-being of each of its members.
Village Mental Health Center is a safe, welcoming space for all! We celebrate the unique perspective you bring regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or spiritual beliefs.
